Margrit Campbell I am a retired nurse. After general nursing I did research work into heart disease followed by research into Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. I then worked for six years with people with mental health difficulties in a Daybreak day centre, before retiring. I have lived in Oxford for nearly twenty years but before coming here, my husband and I lived in Kenya, Italy, Belgium and Germany, with a couple of short spells in England in between. I am currently involved in voluntary work. In addition to my involvement with Daybreak as a Trustee, I visit a disadvantaged family who have a severely handicapped child. I also organise a monthly lunch club for people with dementia and their families. We have between thirty and forty guests each month and they seem to enjoy it because most of them turn up each time! |
